1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We also use local storage, which serves a similar purpose. Some technologies are necessary for login, security, language, and saved privacy choices. Optional analytics or advertising technologies are used only after the consent choice required by applicable law.
2. Categories we use
- Strictly necessary: authentication sessions, security, load balancing, and privacy choices. These cannot be disabled through our banner.
- Functional: optional preferences and enhanced features.
- Analytics: aggregated information about visits and interactions so we can improve the site.
- Marketing: advertising measurement, retargeting, and personalisation — currently the Google Ads tag and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, plus any tags configured through Google Tag Manager where enabled.
3. Current technologies
| Name/provider | Purpose | Category | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cookie_consent | Stores your consent categories | Necessary | Until cleared |
| tempoweb_locale | Remembers language selection | Necessary | Until cleared |
| Supabase authentication cookies | Keeps signed-in users authenticated and refreshes sessions | Necessary | Session / provider-defined |
| Google tags (_ga, _gid and related tags, when configured) | Analytics and measurement | Analytics | Up to 2 years |
| Google advertising tags (_gcl_* and related tags, when configured) | Conversion measurement and advertising | Marketing | Up to 90 days |
| _fbp (Meta Platforms) | Distinguishes browsers for Meta ad measurement and retargeting | Marketing | About 90 days |
| _fbc (Meta Platforms) | Stores the Meta ad-click identifier when you arrive via a Meta ad | Marketing | About 90 days |
Exact third-party cookie names and durations can change when providers update their services. Both advertising tools default to off: Google Consent Mode keeps optional storage denied, and the Meta Pixel is held in a revoked-consent state (no cookies set, nothing sent to Meta) until you grant marketing consent. See our Privacy Policy for what each advertising provider receives and on what legal basis.
4. Manage or withdraw consent
You can reject optional storage below. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent login or other essential functions. Withdrawing consent does not make earlier consent-based processing unlawful.
